very frustrated person - stay away

So went for my first day of Post Grad Literature - and the first class had me all excited. tht was just for five minutes. The prof seemed to go on about Canterbury and Chaucer - at the speed of a word in two minutes. Next hour saw Spenser's Prothalamion and after that - it was a nightmare fest of Lambs essays.

The prof clad in a hip and happening faded denim trousers and scarlet shirt with a haircut that reminded me of 10th century monks - kept rolling his eyes skywards and went on and on about Lambs tragedies in life.

Only after lunch did things get interesting. A very neat dapper rajni kant look alike, with a small gut spill, (of course) did an excellent job on Marlowe and Dr Faustus.

The standard is no where near where I was, and many of this is repetitive. want moder day 20th cent lit, and comparisions.. but i am in the wrong country. Long for tough cookie lit and wish i did have a stronger mentor in lit, will have to do with a slightly above average Drama lecturer.

Bacon's essays were also dealt satisfactorily, purely from the level of scores and annotations. desperately looking for intelligent conversation on lit. but then agian - where can you find that here? at least not in the south belt of india.

you would think that the land that gave birth to the mother of most modern day lingo would have decent knowledgable people.. but nooo.....
